Dr. Aziz Chraibi sat on the expert panel “The challenges of scaling up extraction processes” at the CRIBIQ event, held at Espace 4 Saisons in Orford.

The biodiversity of Quebec’s boreal forest and farm crops is a major reservoir of chemicals with high economic potential. Extracting agroforestry biomass adds value and diversifies Quebec’s bioproducts: it can be the first step in a biorefining process.

Under the theme “What is the future of Quebec’s agroforestry extractives sector?” CRIBIQ brought together key players to take stock of infrastructure, expertise, technologies and research, with end users’ needs in mind.
