Privacy

PBE Expert Inc. (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains, in plain terms, what personal information we collect on this website, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how to exercise your rights. It is written in accordance with Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

1. Person in charge of the protection of personal information

The person in charge of the protection of personal information is Dr. Aziz Chraibi, ing., President. You can reach them at [email protected], or by mail at: 9200, rue Meilleur, bureau 301
Montréal, QC H2N 2A9.

2. The information we collect

When you fill in the contact form

We collect the information you choose to give us: your name, your email address, your phone number (optional), the service you are interested in and the message describing your request. We also keep the date of your consent and the text you consented to.

When you apply for a job

We collect the information you give us in the application form: your contact details, the position or field you are interested in, your experience and education, your authorization to work in Canada, your message and your CV if you attach one. We also keep the date of your consent and the text you consented to. This information is used only to review your application and to contact you about it; it is seen only by the people in charge of recruiting, in a recruiting tool we share with PBE Rénov, our sister company in Groupe PBE. It is never sold or disclosed to other companies.

When you email or call us

We collect the information in your message or given during the call, only to answer you.

When you visit the website

Like any website, our host receives technical data needed to display and secure the site (for example the IP address and browser type). This data is used to protect the site against abuse and, when a form is sent, to check that it was filled in by a person and not a robot. We also measure visits anonymously and in aggregate (number of visits, pages viewed), without cookies and without following anyone from one visit to the next.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer your request, call you back and, if you wish, prepare a quote.
  • To send you a confirmation of your request.
  • To review your job application and contact you about it.
  • To protect the website, the form and our systems against abuse and fraud.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your information for other purposes without your consent, except where the law allows it. We do not sell or rent it.

4. Your consent

By sending the form, you consent to our use of your information for the purposes described above. This consent is asked for with a separate checkbox. You may withdraw it at any time by writing to the person in charge; we will then stop using your information, unless the law requires us to keep it.

5. Who we share it with

Your information is available only to the members of our team who need it to handle your request. To run the website, we use the following providers, who process information on our behalf, following our instructions and under contract:

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting and protecting the website; the form’s anti-robot check (Turnstile) and its transmission; anonymous visit statistics, without cookies. Location: United States and global network.
  • Resend: sending the emails about your request (to our team and to you). Location: United States.
  • Microsoft 365: our email, where your requests arrive. Location: according to the provider’s settings.
  • Supabase: the recruiting tool where your application and CV are kept. Location: in Canada (Montréal).
  • GitHub, Inc.: an encrypted backup copy of that tool, unreadable without our key. Location: United States.

Communication outside Québec. Some of these providers store or process information outside Québec, notably in the United States. Before entrusting information to them, we assess whether the protection offered is adequate, taking into account in particular the sensitivity of the information, the purpose of its use and the protection measures in place, and we govern the transfer by contract.

We may also disclose information when the law requires or allows it, for example at the request of a competent authority.

6. Cookies and technologies

This website uses no advertising or profiling cookies, and no technology that can identify you, locate you or build a profile of you. The form’s anti-robot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) analyses technical browser signals at the time of sending, only to block automated submissions.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as needed to answer your request and, where applicable, to carry out your project and meet our legal obligations (for example, tax obligations). It is then securely destroyed or anonymized. A job application is kept for the duration of the recruitment, then deleted, unless you agree that we keep it for future positions; you can ask for its deletion at any time.

8. How we protect it

We take reasonable security measures suited to the sensitivity of the information: an encrypted connection (HTTPS) across the whole site, access limited to those who need it, accounts protected by two-factor authentication, recognized providers.

9. Your rights

Subject to the exceptions provided by law, you may:

  • find out whether we hold information about you and access it;
  • have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
  • withdraw your consent to its use;
  • ask that it no longer be disseminated, or that a hyperlink attached to your name be de-indexed, in the cases provided by law;
  • receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format (portability).

To exercise these rights, write to the person in charge (section 1). We may verify your identity before answering. We answer in writing within 30 days of receiving your request.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

10. Confidentiality incidents

If a confidentiality incident involving your information presented a risk of serious injury, we would notify you and the Commission d’accès à l’information, and take the necessary measures to limit its consequences. We keep a register of incidents.

11. Minors

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about people under 14 without the consent of their parent or guardian.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page. If there is a significant change, we will indicate it clearly on the website.
